To an athlete what they eat is important. Every meal has the purpose of providing different micronutrients for different times of the day, different stresses and different needs.
One size does not fit all. The best nutrition plan is the one that works for your life.
We are all athletes but in a different race – the busy race of life!!. To perform optimally we need to plan to fuel our body as best we can understanding the purpose of every meal and the effects negatively and positively that meal will have on us.
To be frank we need to be our own individual coaches because we are all requiring different needs addressed. We have different schedules, jobs etc. One size does not fit all.
I ride an hour to work and an hour home so my needs are different from someone on public transport. My age also influences my needs and I want to accommodate my own tastes and preferences. Leaving food choice to chance is playing Russian roulette with your health and accepting under performance as normal. That’s not smart!
But with knowledge we can enjoy every meal at the time and during the intervals between and we can simply live better immediately.
Your challenge: When and where and how much fluids you take and what they were and analyse it at day's end and see if you could have made better choices.
