Health can be all consuming and often we go to the Internet for answers. And there they are the first thing AI generated and that means they've taken the populist viewpoint. They've looked at every answer and some of them are great and some of them are absolutely terrible but AI does not know the difference so you'll get the average. That is far from dependable

"Sometimes the person we need to trust the most is ourselves."

You'll then go and see someone who is an expert but often their opinion it's very polarizing and fixed. Often this is a medical doctor whose life has been about coming up with answers and pharmaceuticals that help. But I think most pharmaceuticals are merely an opportunity to create an imbalance but not a long term solution.

Then you'll go and see the natural therapist who thinks the opposite and these two viewpoints are so far apart it's very difficult to understand what the correct answer is.

I've been in the health industry for 40 years and I get more information off a patient by talking to them. By finding out what they are thinking and how they've lived. I can do neurological checks orthopedic checks case history blood analysis but their conversation was critical.

Then when the patient is starting to understand their condition comes the truth. Every now and then a patient will say to me you know what doc I think…. My experience is what they say next it's almost always correct. Sometimes the person we need to trust the most is ourself. Get a bit of knowledge talk to a few people but trust your inner intelligence because no one knows you more than yourself.
